The Id Story |
How did three former colleagues, Vrushali, Akhlaque & Harold become first generation entrepreneurs- Well call it what you want, according to us we are a classic case of doing your own thing. That and a couple of events forced the founding of ID ANIMATION & ARTS-A Studio School.
Most of it for the better-and some worse (when it come to all those Pseudo animation institutes) we have been instrumental in giving shape to the animation scenario in and around Pune & to some extent to many parts of the country. In a very short duration of 2.9 years we became the change we wanted to see.
The journey is long and the battle is on- this is no exaggeration, in this short time we have seen what many would take a lifetime. As we have grown so have the demand for accountability and honesty in the animation training has and Id which has been built on this platform stands out distinctly.
We started with Basic 3d animation & design, followed by Game Design & now Vfx- Each course has been a journey by itself rather than just a milestone. The R&D- done by us with the support of many a industry friend who provided that valuable inputs and implemented by some of our best students ensured that the results that Id gets out of its students is the best . |

Harold Raichur - is a Visualizer and Creative, with a knack for Storytelling. His interests vary from Philosophy to History, Football to Animation, Books to Comics, and Teaching to Trekking. He brings a practical & hands on approach to everything he does. A self learnt, student of Animation, and Filmmaking in particular. He loves to write & direct original content like Short Films, Game content, Short Stories, Comics & and anything to do with the visual media.harold@idanimations.com |

Akhlaque Shaikh -
Aks(short for Akhlaque) -Bachelor in Computer Engineering wouldn’t have come to be in this position if he hadn’t accompanied a friend, sadly for his friend who didn’t join what Aks did-ANIAMATION! Since then he has progressed from being the first motion builder trainer to studios, to a maya expert and later a technical head.
In-between all this he was able to co-found Id Animation & Arts. At the present Aks is busy un ravelling the future course of SeamEdu-Id nextgen training pipeline, namely HOUDINI, Mo-Cap & Game Technology.
He is largely self learnt and has a passion for animation and 8 years to back it all. He has technical expertise over major 3D, 2D and Compositing programs & all things technical. He has been involved in short filmmaking and commercials, as Technical Director.

Vrushali Kulkarni - has done MA in Sociology, but her true strengths are her people skills, organization, documentation and her ability to play multiple roles. She brings great depth to the learning process, which benefits our students immensely, to learn these much needed skills. Abid Shaikh, Senior Technical Faculty :
Abid started his career as a modelling artist, then he moved on to rigging & at the present he is working his hand at animation. In the mean while in a short span of 5 years , of which 4 years he worked with TOON GEEKS SOFTWARE PVT. LTD ,making two direct to video 3d movies (Chandarani …A Dream to reality, Sonam …Aur saath Ajube) in the capacity of Technical Lead & Project Manager.
Abid is a people’s person and easy to get along, thus when he chose to take the plunge form the hustle of a studio to the bustle of a School, he had all the needed expertise of a professional Animation artist & the patience of a trainer. Presently Abid is Sr Faculty , guiding the students with the best practices both technically & artistically to his Students.
As Abid comes from the studio background, he is able to call upon many of his animation experts in the industry to take on special sessions at SeamEdu-Id. |

Kunal Lanjekar,Visiting Faculty :
He is multi-talented & very hard working individual with very strong leanings towards Graphics, Tattoos, Animation Design and Teaching in no particular order.
A GD Arts graduate, he has completed his animation studies with a post graduate diploma from CDAC. He is also pursuing a degree course in instructional design with Symbiosis College. He is a freelance animation professional having working with Australian & Indian studios. Currently he also teaches animation at Vishwakarma Creative I college,pune.
His ability to multitask & stretch his time not only allows him to seek and successfully complete a his various projects but also fulfil his creativity by making short films & supervise Game projects.
At SeamEdu-Id Kunal, teaches design, Advance Character Modelling & Texturing to the various animation streams. |

Kunal Shrigondekar, Visiting Faculty :
In his words Wants to explore the deep ocean of Television Media & become a Professional success in the T.V & Media industry.His goal is to become a good Camera artist & Cinematographer. He is a team player in my team and looks out for challenge and exitement. His has a deep interest in the Camera has resulted in the pursuit of Photography, Videography & filmmaking, as a student and now as a professional.
Kunal is credited for his work on Documentaries, short films, Promotional & Advertisements, Music Videos, TV Serials & Reality Shows for Television. At SeamEdu-Id it his expertise with the camera ensures that the Animation & Vfx students have the benefit of understanding and using professional camera systems in both the studio and on the sets with a dedicated professional. |

Rohan Dalvi, Visiting Faculty :
With over 12 years of experience in the animation business he has worked for various Advt Agencies and Studios including, Phoebus Media, Indian Magic Eye, Digital Art, etc. He was the 3d Visual Effects lead on "Dashavataar" the 2d animated film. Earlier in his career Rohan has worked on Advertisements, architectural and industrial visualization projects and continues to do so.
Rohan is a software geek, with a voracious appetite to delve into any 3d/2d software and then happily go about sharing his knowledge with whoever will listen.
Rohan loves to teach & has been into training/ teaching for 10 years. He has & continues to teach at various animation Institutes & colleges .He founded " Institute for Advanced Animation" , which he currently heads to impart advanced 3d ,Vfx & animation to professional in a short duration.
At Seamedu-Id Rohan will teach the advanced level courses for 3d animation mainly, Lighting,Rendering, Visual Effects and Compositing. |

Chetan Deshmukh, Founder & Director, Tool Box Studio :
Ex-UCLA graduate, one of the few special effects animators from India, Chetan's credit list extends to Hollywood Blockbusters like Chicago, Shanghai Nights, The Last Samurai and a lot more. This young thriving creator is known for his World class expertise in 3D Animation, Visual Effects, Digital Composition etc.
Chetan is the chief mentor to the VFX students.

Dharmendra Chavan, Director, Broadcast Media, Seamedu :
Dharmendra, a B.E in Electronics, has a Masters Degree in Mass Communication, a Diploma in Animation and Special Effects as well as a Diploma in Journalism along with 17 years of rich experience in the industry in fields as varied as Film Direction, Editing, doing Special Effects and Animation for Film. He is also a technical consultant for installing studios and non-linear set-ups. He has directed and edited more than 300 films from different streams such as advertising, education, entertainment and documentaries.

Shantanu Kulkarni, UI Designer, Product Designer, IISc Bangalore :
Shantanu is an industrial designer from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Having an engineering background he was always keen to do product design but he is more inclined towards product development. He has gained a lot of experience in the organizations like Larsen & Toubro & TATA Motors, working on defence products to automobiles. Recently he is a part of user experience design teams of leading IT organizations.
Because of the industrial design background & user experience design exposure, Shantanu brings in user centric approach in every design phase. He gives a guidance from a product development perspective to give an end to end solution. His areas of interest are Learning & entertainment. He has recently published a research paper in “Conference for Advances in Usability Engineering” (CAUE, 2008) on learn-ability testing of e-learning applications. His recent study includes application of cognitive theories in the Game Development/ entertainment industry.
Shantanu, brings his expertise in product design, ergonomics, aesthetics along with his User Interface (UI) skills to help the game design students, make good games.
